Remorse is bad for business; mine and others alike.

So, what do you need to have in place before buying e book online? Here they are:

1. Credit Card. There are a few occassion where Plastics come in handy and doing a transaction online is one of them. Even if you badly WANT my e book, without a credit card I CAN’T sell it to ya. Why? It’s because our transaction is done digitally. I know this sounds scary to some of ya (and I don’t blame ya) because of all the stories and cases that circulating all over the Net, but digital transaction like what’s going to happen when you click the Buy Now button demands a credit card. So you got to have one and as an added precaution you can see requirement #2 (it’s not a MUST but it’ll greatly help)…
2. Paypal Account. Now, you don’t have to sign-up with them if you don’t want to, and with Paypal, you can already make payment for your purchase with your credit card BUT (here comes the BIG butt) what if sometimes goes wrong? It’s not like I hope it will but let’s say something happen and you want a refund. That’s when Paypal comes into the picture. And I’m telling ya, I experinced this before, NOT as a buyer; as seller. And I know my buyer was glad he got a Paypal account. But remember; it works both ways. If you try to cheat the system, Paypal will penalize you also. And the table is turn to me (seller).
3. WinZip. All of the downloads from online e book purchase come in zip file so it is a MUST for you to have the proper tools to ‘unzip’ it. And what’s better than to use the tool that zip the file in the first place? You can use the trial version if needs be but sooner or later, the ‘reminder’ to upgrade or buy the full version is just to annoying to ignore. Think about it. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
4. Adobe Reader. After you ‘unzip’ a file, a typical report and e book mostly come in Pdf (portable document file). To read document like this you need a reader and I STRONGLY recommend Adobe Reader. Just Google for it and you’ll see it pops up in the 1st position of the result page. Go download it and have it install in your computer before you make any purchase. Got that? Good.

So lets recap what you’ll need before making an online e book purchase. You’ll need a Credit Card to purchase (it’s your digital currency), a Paypal account to handle ‘unpleasant event’ (if any) but it’s totally optional, a Winzip to ‘unzip’ the downloaded files and lastly an Adobe Reader to read the Pdf documents.
