I decided to see if Michael’s videos live up to
their promise by trying them out myself. Here’s
what I found:

Overall Quality
*************************************************

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the
first video was the stunning production quality.
He used Camtasia Studio for the production, which
is now the industry standard for creating
high-quality screen capture video products. The
audio is near studio quality, and the graphics
are very professional. These videos were made by
someone who KNOWS what he’s doing. Well done!

I also liked how Michael divided the videos up by
section, and then again by sub-section. For
example, one video is all about the subject line,
and then there are different parts of that video
that each cover a certain area of crafting a
killer subject line.

VIDEO 1 - INTRODUCTION

This video served as an introduction to the whole
course. You get to see a picture of Michael in
his every day life, and he establishes his
credibility right up front by talking about some
of his massive successes online. He even provides
proof of credibility by displaying two checks in
the amount of $50,000 and $25,000 which prove
that, when it comes to the subject of making
money with email promos, he knows his stuff.

This is a good lesson for anyone to get. Whenever
you’re teaching people how to do something, it’s
good to establish your credibility up front, so
that there’s no doubt about whether or not you’re
qualified to talk about the subject. Most product
developers either skip or minimize this step.

VIDEO 2 - BEFORE YOU WRITE THE PROMO

This video talks about some things that no other
marketer has bothered to mention. You’ll learn
things like:

* The mindset you need in order to write a killer
promo

* The different tools you need before you get
started

* How to keep your emails laser-focused

* How to create an outline that practically
writes the email for you.

This was a fantastic video, and did a good job of
kicking things off.

VIDEO 3 - THE SUBJECT LINE

I liked this video, because it talked about one
of MY biggest weaknesses when it comes to writing
email promos… the subject line. The subject
line is a confusing topic, because nobody’s 100%
sure what the best tactics are.

Michael breaks it down, and reveals:

* The biggest secret for writing a subject line
that makes people insanely curious.

* Techniques for personalizing the subject line.

* Mistakes to avoid when using personalization.

I was surprised to find that I was making some of
the mistakes that Michael mentioned in this
video, but now I know better.

VIDEO 4 - THE OPENING

This is where a lot of people slack off when
writing their emails. Michael talks about how
important it is to create an opening that is
conversational, and then reveals techniques and
examples on how to do that.

He also reveals:

* How to get people to keep reading your email
once they’ve opened it.

* How to make your opening interesting.

* Mistakes to avoid when creating your first few
paragraphs.

VIDEO 5 - THE BODY COPY

This is one of the “meatiest” portions of the
course, because it reveals techniques that are
not widely discussed on the forums, blogs, and in
most eBooks. He talks about the importance of
keeping your body copy tight and relevant, and
then reveals how you can do that. You’ll also
learn:

* How to write powerful bullets that make people
curious and want to find out more.

* Simple formatting tricks for making your body
copy easy to read.

* The secret of “bucket brigade copy” and how to
use it in your email promos to force people to
keep reading.

VIDEO 6 - THE CALL TO ACTION

This is where a lot of people wimp out in their
email promos. They start out strong, but when it
comes time to ask the reader to click the link
and take action, they don’t know what to say.
Michael talks about some of his favorite
techniques for making that happen, and also

at the end. In this video, Michael talks about:

* The 4 different kinds of P.S.’s you can use
(this section was a real eye-opener for me).

VIDEO 8 - COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE

I loved this video, because it showed me some
mistakes that I was making that I wasn’t even
aware of. Unless you’re a seasoned pro, you’re
probably guilty of some of the things that
Michael talks about in this video as well, and
that’s why it’s so valuable. I’ve shaved years
off my learning curve, because now I can avoid
some of the costly mistakes that I was bound to
make in the learning process.

VIDEO 9 - HOW TO CREATE FOLLOW-UP EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This video alone is going to make me a lot of
money. Why? Because I used to only send out one
email promo for each affiliate promotion I was
doing. Michael showed me in this video how
important it is to send a follow-up promotion,
and he showed me exactly how to do it. He covered
things like:

* The psychology of follow-up email promo’s.

* The 2 main types of follow-up promos that make
the most money.

* How to overcome readers’ objections in your
follow up emails.

* The 2 most common mistakes people make when
writing follow-ups and how to avoid them.

VIDEO 10 - HOW TO WRITE BACK END EMAIL PROMOTIONS

Every marketing guru out there says that the REAL
money is on the back end. I’d have to agree with
them, but the problem is… most people have no
idea how to set up a back end system that makes
money. This video will teach you how to set up an
automated back end that’s loaded with killer
promos that make you lots of cash on autopilot.
He reveals things like:

* The big difference between regular and back end
email promos.

* How to prepare a back end promotion sequence.

* Common mistakes people make when creating back

VIDEO 11 - CREATING AFFILIATE EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This could be the most important video of the
entire package for a lot of people, because most
people email their list to promote other people’s
products as an affiliate. Let’s face it, if you
only have 3 products, can you really afford to
only email your list 3 times a year? They’ll get
bored hearing about the same old products over
and over again. This video sheds some light on
how to create killer affiliate promos. Michael
reveals things like:

* The two main types of affiliate promos.

* What makes affiliate promos different than
regular promos (and why ignoring this huge secret
could cost you big money).

* Michael’s favorite tactics for creating
affiliate promos that no one else is doing.

* 3 different ways to add scarcity to your
affiliate promos (this is the most important
section of the video, so make sure you watch it
over and over again).

CONCLUSION

As you can see, Email Promos Exposed really packs
a lot of punch! Most of the courses out there
offer only watered down, weak content. Not this
one! These videos are going on my “A-list” for a
long time.

I’ve already watched them twice, and plan on
reviewing them every couple months to make sure
that I have the principals, techniques and
tactics burned into my mind.

business (and in my opinion, it’s the most
important part of ANY online business), then you

Where should I begin this New Age Email Marketing review? Let’s start with how I end up having this report..

When John Leger e-mailed me (or rather his entire list) about how Josh Spaulding got some outstanding results with e-mail marketing, and with relatively small number of subscribers, he got this story to tell (heck, I decided to include part of the e-mail here):

Hi Nezrul,

If you’ve been on my list for any time at all, then you know that I don’t promote many folks’ products in the Internet Marketing niche.  I mostly stick to creating and promoting my own products, whose credibility and return on investment I am sure of.

However, I made an exception a while back with Josh Spaulding’s report, Article Marketing Domination.

You see, Josh is no “guru.”  He’s my kind of guy: he learned how to do something that worked REALLY well, and then created a product around it.

When I promoted his report, he was floored at how well it did: more than 600 sales that netted him a profit of over $8,000 — all from my one email.

Josh wrote back to me and begged me to tell him how I was able to build a list that converted so well, since back then his didn’t convert at all.  He told me that my list of 40,000 (at the time) converted many times better than the list of a “guru” who had a much, much larger list.

I told him that it was simple: trust.  You have to build trust with your list.  I then went on to give him a few pointers about how to build this trust.

True to form, Josh took my advice and ran with it–fast.
It wasn’t long before he had turned his unperforming list into a cash-generating machine.

In fact, from just ONE email to his list he earned
$4,278.25 up front, and is earning more than $1,000 a month from the residual income of that product.

His list is currently less than 1/5th the size of mine, and yet he’s earned MORE from that one email than I did when I promoted his product.  How’s that for the student surpassing the teacher?

Also true to form, Josh has taken his knowledge and created a report from it.  His report takes you step-by-step through his system for building a super-converting list — even if it’s a small one.

His system is based on the advice I gave him, so naturally I agree with it 100%.  I’ve read the report, and though it’s aimed at the email marketing begginer, it even had an “Ah-ha!” moment for me, a seasoned email marketer.

Now, I did not get my hand on the Article Marketing Domination. I vaguely recalled one day not long ago, when checking what’s hot in PayDotCom marketplace, the report was on the Bestsellers List. And it was offered for a limited time.

But I decided back then that Article Marketing was not my cup of tea. That was due to an
e-mail I sent earlier to the author of Niche Marketing On Crack report asking him to point
out the difference between submitting article to ‘high-ranking’ Ezinearticles.com and Squidoo.com.

Frankly, I can’t wait 3 to 5 days for an article to get approval.

The author said there might not be significant differences but he’s too lazy to slap up a
‘Squidoo lens’ every time he wrote an article. I understand that. So I didn’t go with
article marketing.

But this so called New Age Email Marketing had a different twist.

Did you know that John Leger had released a report called Presell Secrets earlier on?

In that report, he detailed how he use a combination of e-mail marketing and a case study – a real time case study – to create curiosity, enthusiasm, respect, and trust from his
subscribers while promoting a program.

I suspect that the result he got from promoting Josh’s report was just a natural outcome
from the trust and respect like what he detailed in Presell Secrets.

So let’s review the e-mail marketing strategy for the new age.

It is a 27 pages digital report with the last page talks only about the author :) If we minus this page and the Intro, we have a meaty 9 chapters in between. You’ll get chapter like.. nope!

You ‘got to own it to see it.’ But I can tell you that what I’m doing now, by providing this review, is the result of reading a chapter just before the ‘About the Author’ page. And since I don’t want to keep you in suspense, it’s about how you can help Josh spread his
words around and gets paid ;)

And that goes without saying that I am going to write HONESTLY about this report.

Here is what I like about this report and maybe when you own it, you’re going to like it too:

+ There’s nothing revolutionary. Most of what he talked in this report was something you do know already.

Maybe you just don’t do them. Or maybe you do them but you get zero result. Josh points you the right steps.

+ There are actually very few steps to follow. You can get started right away if you want
too.

Here are what I quite ‘NOT’ like about New Age Email Marketing (brace yourself. I think I had more ‘dislikes’ than ‘likes’):

x I told you that I like the SIMPLE layout, presentation, and content of this report but having said that being simple means something got left out.

It’ll be cluttered if everything were included.

But what if that something was actually crucial to the success of a campaign? Things like
your landing page if you use Adwords… your splash page if you use Traffic Exchanges (some of us use this you know)… or your overall Copywriting?

These things got left out and as Josh readily admit therein; he’s not going to touch on Copywriting.

x Sincerely, I believe this stuff is NOT for newcomers. Why? Because newcomers need to own a list.

So their priority is to build a list, and not so much of promoting to the list.

x After reading this report page to page, I ‘mildly’ felt that relief, that ‘Aha!’ moment
like John said in his e-mail. In other words, I’m putting it nicely that actually, you can do without this report (how’s that for a review?).

Seriously…

We all need something more. I mean, this report does offer some content but it’s too
ordinary. What more if you already read and applied Presell Secrets.

We all need a guide that makes us feel we learn something NEW or get REMINDED every time we return to it. And I’m telling you with conviction; nothings beat the guide that I’ve
inserted below.

No matter it’s my first, fifth, or tenth time referring to it, there’s always something new
and useful I got out of it, in the context of e-mail marketing of course. And it’s not even a New Age thingy.

The Ultimate SuperTip Review

Guess what…after about a year promoting Harvey Segal’s Ultimate SuperTip I just realized that I’ve never write a single review of it. Not a single review for Ultimate SuperTip! Can you believe that? But since I’m actively reviewing many e-books here, I’ve decided to include the review in here and hope to make up to what I’ve missed all these years.

But first…

The Updates

At the time of writing this, Harvey had just sent out a newsletter to all his affiliates telling them that promoting their affiliate link by using Traffic Exchange is no longer allowed. He suggested two things:

1) Get a domain name. Why? Because of reason number 2..
2) Use a Splash Page.

What’s a Splash Page?

Splash Page is a simple, fast-download page that contains a few words (like a Google Ads) with or without a graphic – in this case it’s The Ultimate SuperTip e-book cover. Harvey includes a link in the newsletter to show how a Splash Page looks like and urge the reader to do likewise.

Now, a Splash Page can also contain an auto-responder form to capture the reader name and address. Often-time, such a page is called Squeeze Page. But of course, for most of us who just getting our feet wet online, even getting a domain name already send chill to our bone.

But we need the domain name to host our Splash Page. And if we’re serious in creating an Online Business or maybe trying to earn some extra cash Online, getting a domain name will take us far.

So get your Splash Page ready and register a domain name, if you haven’t already. And let’s move on to the review.

The Features

Ultimate SuperTip is a 31 pages e-book with 5 chapters. The last time I checked, it’s in Version 3 but Harvey will change the version as and when is needed so if you’re getting a different version, don’t be alarmed. The version is changed for a reason (Harvey’s reason actually..)

Let’s take a brief look at the Chapter..

Chapter 1: Introduction

Obviously it tells you what’s coming and what to expect. There’s nothing much to tell over here.

Chapter 2: How To Sell ANY Products

This is where the real gem is and still I can’t tell you much about it over here but realize this – this chapter works pretty well if you sell DIGITAL products online. Not that it wouldn’t work if you sell physical product but it just work pretty well if you sell digital product. That’s all I could say.

I want to chip in a quick note here. I received an e-mail from Frank Kern today and it links me to a video on his blog. The title of the video is Emergency Video and the content is about recession and how to profit from it.

Frank in fact believes that more billionaires will rise from this financial crisis (now had turn into economic crisis). And he pointed out that small business or entrepreneurs segment will become more significant than ever if the segment focus on the most important activity which is:

MARKETING

Do you agree?

It takes hell lotsa guts for Frank to say such words but let’s think about it..

And Chapter 2 might contain the answer to that – how to sell or market any product even if it’s in an economic crisis. Wouldn’t you just love to know the answer?

Chapter 3: The Ingenious Twist

Here Harvey shares with you on how you can massively profit from the previous 2 chapters. It might sounds a bit phony but really it’s not. Some marketers called it genius. I prefer to call it practical.

Chapter 4: Tools To Help You

This chapter actually spins out from Harvey’s idea of starting from scratch. If he had to begin all over again with online marketing, he would start with much simpler model as demonstrated by this chapter.

Chapter 5: The Amazing Viral Bonus

Now, as much as I like you to make money or maybe start making some extra cash online, this chapter precedes me in simplicity and workability terms. Not only Harvey did show you how to sell any product online, he now shows you in Chapter 5, how you can make money with this very report! Isn’t that insane? What more.. all you got to do is give out a link. That’s it. Insane..

But after all have been said and done, let’s face..

The Downside

If you are anything like me, who prefer to just being handed a fish than be shown how to fish that probably you’ll miss the point after reading the whole e-book.

Initially I thought, the whole point of this e-book is to get the package, get the affiliate link and start promoting but hey, that’s not the main point.

The main point is in Chapter 2 and to take action after reading it.

Plus, if you’re looking for some immediate gratifications then this e-book offer none of them. Each strategy presented takes time, effort and a bit of capital to implement. Don’t get deluded with the free methods. They’re free for a reason.

One more thing, if you are selling physical products or plan to sell physical products online, then I would strongly suggest you read what is presented with a pinch of salt. Not everything will work. You just have to pick and choose.

Massive Blog Traffic Review

Having a few blogs of my own for over a year now, I believe I am quite capable to write a review to Massive Blog Traffic. Even though I bought the report (with Master Resale Rights) in 2006, only recently I gain the confidence to put it up on my e-bookstore and offer it to you.

That after 2 self-hosted blogs and countless free-hosted blogs on Blogger and Wordpress. And I even got a blog suspended from Cyberspace last year (hosted on Wordpress) but that’s beside the point.

Let’s get on with Massive Blog Traffic review..

The format

I’m not referring to the e-book format here because some of you already can guess that it’s in PDF. I’m talking about the ‘content’ format.

What I like about this report is the simplicity of its’ content format. The Author (who remains unknown to me) must have compile and condensed blogging most relevant traffic-generating tactics which scatter around blogosphere.

If you type ‘blog traffic tactics’ into *Google (without the quotes), you’ll get 291,000 pages in return, and if you type the similar phrases into Yahoo, you’ll get about 13,700,000 pages.

* The figure is shown as such at the time of this writing. It may change from time to time.

Imagine the time it’ll take for you if you were to compile all the gems yourselves. Imagine the time spent.. the hardship.. the frustration..

I believe it’s much easier to get the most proven tactics into one place, and what more if all I had to do was to part with a small sum of my cash (in this case, it’s ONLY 5 bucks..). That’s what prompts me to own Massive Blog Traffic in 2006.

But…

The ‘good’ format can always be made better.

Even though I like the ‘content’ style but I do believe the author can always made it better. For instance, he or she can put up a general index page that list the whole content of the report, and better still, make them hyperlink to the appropriate topics (just like all Harvey Segal’s e-books :).

That is what I consider lacking in the report format. And oh! Some graphics here and there would be pleasing to the eyes, but hey, I didn’t write this stuff O.K..

The content quality

I understand that topics which involve generating traffic are highly dynamic. What works superbly well yesterday might spell disaster today, and vice versa, more so when the topic involves blogging.

I checked Google Trend today (September 9, 2008) for ‘blog’ and it clearly shows an upward trend especially in a few region. And guess what, most of the regions are close to home e.g Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia. But English is NOT the Number One language though.

Anyway, all 24 tips found in Massive Blog Traffic report were surprisingly ‘stands the test of time’. The author lives up to her own advice, like she lists in Tip #3: Create Content That Is Timeless.

Most, if not all tips in the report are relevant and timeless, which means, even if you own this report 5 years from now, the tips will still ring true. That saves ya from lots, and lots of update – unlike the Wordpress version. It seems that I had to update the version each and every month!

But then again…

All the tips do not have live of their own. They require our effort to bring them to life which also means we got to get our hands dirty before we can see results. But what’s new right? All worthwhile achievements require some form of effort aren’t they?

The cost of ownership

I realize that not everyone create blogs to generate income. Some just build them for the sake of pleasing their own ego. Whatever your reason may be, logic will tell us that if no one sees, read or appreciate our blogs, there no point building them.

All the rant, emotional outburst, sharp opinion, and what not have ya, will only count when some eyeballs send the words to the grey matter. And online, getting people to reach your blog is called ‘traffic generating’.

If you’re genuinely passionate about what you’re blogging, and you believe that only good things will come out by sharing them with others, then there’s more reason for you to make your blog known i.e. generating ‘massive’ traffic to your blog.

That’s why I complement Massive Blog Traffic offer with 3 more result-producing report which includes getting traffic from the Search Engine or usually called ‘organic traffic’, multiplying your traffic generating effort with MORE free and paid method, and lastly making your effort infectious like a virus with viral marketing.

So, my final words about this…

Hey there,

Up to this point, I’m confident that somewhere in your hard-drive there’s plenty of digital products pile up collecting ‘cyber dust’. True? If there are, then what I’m about to review here is going to nudge you to round those digital products up, and turn them into what some of us really love to have more of: Cash.

Ok. I’m admit that I’m also guilty of this one – getting my hands on whatever offer that comes my way and end up having piles of ‘I’ll take a look at it later’ digital stockpile. Until today, these digital products did produce next to nothing for me except collecting ‘cyber dust’!

It gets worse as time goes by.

Base ongoing trust, I bought the package, and guess what, while trying to save the file to my hard-disk, I was prompted with a ‘dialogue box’ whether to replace that file with an existing one.

Boy…that was a shocker! And I believe I’m not the ONLY one facing this stockpiling issue, right ;)?

Even at that year (2007) of writing, Liz did not mention anything about E-bay, which is good because if you have been around for quite some time online, you know that E-bay has banned selling downloadable digital product at their site.

Chapter 4, The Art Of Reselling Digital Products deals with reseller issue but if that’s the only way you know to earn cash with your stockpile of digital products, you’re missing a hell lot more Buddy!

Would this be the most successful model for me?

Honestly, I don’t know. There are many variables involve to determine whether this strategy will bring the result I’ve hoped for. But of course, that was not mention in the e-book. You have to experience it firsthand to know it.

And that’s why I have decided to go this way…with the e-book store, simply because I can gather all the resources needed at one place, and those who are interested to start their own venture need not scurry all over the Internet to look for what they need.

What do all these add up to?

Why did I say ‘partly’ true?

It’s true that Sales Letter Creator automate your sales letter writing process.

It’s true that this sales letter writing software is a huge relief.

But it’s NOT true if you’re thinking that this software will solve all your direct response writing issues!

Read on so that you’ll get a clearer picture on these issues…

Right now, I have opened my Sales Letter Creator software. I’m looking at it. And Oh! Make sure you’re Online when you open this software because I did open it Offline the other day and the Top graphic was missing.

It’s there…now…when I’m Online. The software looks so hideous without it :)

Once you open this sales letter writing software, you’ll see 9 icons on the Toolbar menu with 3 icons not clickable for the first time.

Underneath it is the HUGE header graphic I’m talking about, that perform a vanishing act Offline.

Immediately after that, you’ll see 11 tabs (like the tabs in your Microsoft Excel file) with headings such as Templates, Headlines, Setting, and so on. All these tabs actually presenting the steps you need to take or rather the Sales Letter Creator will take you through before you get your sales letter written.

It’s really simple. All you have to do is to fill in the blanks with some ready info, which the software ASSUME you already have before you open it.

And this is the part where the direct response issues come in and sadly, this is the part that the software can’t help you with. This is the part where YOU have to help you!

What make an effective sales letter?

I won’t bore you with all the details but for the sake of this review, and for the sake of the first time software users, I’ll touch on a few basic things.

It started with a ‘catchy’ headline.

Now, if you’ve heard about AIDA before (that’s not a person or an organization name), which summarize a proven formula for selling or advertising, the A that stands for ‘Attention’, is the part with the highest priority. If you don’t get your prospects attention, you lose them.

In our Sales Letter Creator case, the software won’t prompt you of the most effective, eye-catching, attention-getting headline.

You got to come up with one (or hundreds) yourself…

Do bare in mind that Online, there’s a bit of twist you need to add up in your headline to stir the desired response. That’s why I suggested elsewhere that you need a swipe file.

Huh?! Swipe file?…

If the word ‘swipe file’ doesn’t ring a bell, don’t be alarmed. It’s referring to a collection of proven ads or sales letter or campaign or whatever that you can use a source of reference for your own campaign.

So that’s one issue. Next…

When you click the ‘finish’ button for this software, you’ll be prompted with an option to save your project as an html file. In other words, you are creating your webpage.

Now, here comes another issue. Before you even reach the ‘finish’ tab of Sales Letter Creator, you’ll have to go through ‘Settings’, ‘Intro’, ‘Features’, and ‘Benefits’ tabs, and you need to put some text in them. I’m telling ya, if you know a little or nothing about SEO or Search Engine Optimization, and basic Copywriting, you’ll end up with a dead duck!

And that’s not good for business. You won’t get your Golden Eggs (was it duck or goose? Hmmm…)

That means, even though you get a huge relief for your sales letter writing process, the Copywriting part and the SEO part are still a huge territory to explore. You save time on the writing process but I doubt you can save time optimizing it. Like they said, “There’s no such thing as something for nothing.”

So, how does all this add up to?

This is where I supposed to make my recommendation. This is where I supposed to rate this product, and this is where I supposed to tell you that you’ll miss BIG time if you didn’t own this software. I supposed to but…

Up to this point, having read what I have to say about Sales Letter Creator, I strongly believe that you can decide for yourself whether this is something you can or you can’t do without.

In my opinion, you can write an effective sales letter by simply swiping another effective sales letter, and type it on a blank template. Not only stimulating your brain for creativity, it is also said that process like this ‘condition’ your mind to recognize the effective elements of the sales letter.

But it’s up to you decide…

And whatever choice you made, make sure it adds to your effectiveness. This is what I hope for you as much.

Once in a while, a good write-up comes by. And just like the saying goes,”When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” So the same goes to the ebook title which I’m about to review here.

When Dr. Ken Evoy of SiteSell.com went out and write his ‘Make Your Site Sell’, little that he knows that the title makes it to web reference all time favorite. More so when he dcided to give it out for free!

So with Joe Vitale with his ‘Hypnotic Marketing’ or ‘Spiritual Marketing.’ He got no idea how far those titles go.

For this time, this guy from ‘Down Under’ (that’s Australia by the way), Andrew Hansen, had came up with something ’substantial’ to Niche Marketing. Being an avid marketer himself, Andrew was quick to pick up and sense the gap in niche marketing today, and bravely step forward to fill it in.

It all started with just a simple experiment or ‘test’, as marketers would like to call it. What was initially set up to be an ‘additional’ income source seems to kick-in a lot harder than expected. Andrew’s girlfriend (apparently his test subject), was shocked with a revelation that actually…

“It’s possible to make money online!”

While she feasts to this, Andrew on the other hand intrigued. He thought,”What else is on here?”, and naturally, that leads to the next test…his girlfriend’s mother.
